BCEM President David Clark began his career in the industry in 1983 as co-owner of All Set Design and All Set Projects. All Set designed and built displays for six pavilions at the Vancouver world's fair, Expo '86, including all three of the BC pavilions as well as the Canadian Pacific and the Air Canada pavilions.

In 1987, after Expo, David transitioned to special events and founded BC Event Management. Industry recognition followed quickly as BCEM won four awards at the inaugural Canadian Event Industry Awards. David's goal: to continue to exceed our clients' expectations with our trademark attention to detail, technical expertise, and creative flair.

BC Event Management has gone on to produce many high profile events in Canada, (see past projects section). BCEM is Canada's record holder for event awards and nominations with 74 nominations and 27 awards (see our awards section for more information).

Director of Sales Darren Dreger, CSEC, utilizes his 16 years of experience as an Event Producer and Technical Director to help create a clear vision for BCEM clients. Darren's passion and commitment to the industry is evident through his enjoyment as an event management instructor and frequent guest speaker at special event conferences.

Darren is past president of the Canadian Special Events Society and a past board member for Meeting Professionals International and the International Special Events Society - Vancouver Chapter.
