Award Ceremonies

BCEM was privileged to produce the Ethics in Action Gala Awards. Our team passed a stringent ethical and environmental audit confirming the event would utilize the least amount of energy and natural resources.

Our set was designed utilizing 100% rented and recycled components, our awards were created from recycled wood and the centerpieces were created by the children from the Developmental Disabilities Association. Centerpieces were sold at the conclusion of the event and close to $1,000.00 was raised for the association.

A crowd of nearly 300 arrived from Vancouver Island, the lower mainland and the BC interior to celebrate the 13th Annual Ethics in Action Awards (EIA) Gala. Opening the evening, EIA Treasurer Don Haliburton introduced the 13 award finalists with a brief history of EIA. Vancity board member Reva Dexter talked briefly on Vancity's socially and environmentally responsible businesses in BC. After dinner, Chris Gailus of Global TV's news hour took to the stage to host the Awards ceremony.
